Linda J.  Amidon
Linda Jean Amidon, 61, of Camillus, died Nov. 29, 2007 at home. Born in Buffalo on Thursday, October 3, 1946, she was the daughter of Robert Lewis Marthia and Helen Barbara Keller Marthia. She was a 1964 graduate of West Genesee High School and 1968 graduate of the University of Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science degree. She continued at the University of Buffalo to receive a degree in nursing. Linda was a long-time resident of Camillus. She was a devoted and loyal nurse practitioner with University Physicians in Syracuse.An excellent baker, Linda won many ribbons at the New York State Fair for her pies as well as for pickles, soups and jams. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the Grand Canyon and Martha's Vineyard. She also loved being with her family.

Linda was predeceased by her parents, Robert who died on March 1, 1975 and Helen who died on July 19, 1999.

Surviving are her daughters, Karen D. Amidon of Vineyard Haven, Massachusetts and Janet L. Amidon of Syracuse; brother, Robert Marthia of Kennebunk, Maine and companion, Earl Stephenson of Rome.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2007 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus with Rev. Gary Ferner officiating. Friends may call preceding the funeral from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
