Obituary for Zena Sanscharowskiy Sweet

Zena Sanscharowskiy  Sweet
Zena Sanscharowskiy Sweet, 55, of Fairmount, died Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at home. Born in Elmira on Friday, November 30, 1951, she was the daughter of Fedor Sanscharowsky and Natalia Redwanska Sanscharowsky. She lived inHorseheads before moving to Fairmount in 1983. Zena was a graduate of Horseheads High School and Elmira College.

Surviving are her husband of 36 years, Franklin; sons and daughter-in-law, Nathan and Renee Sweet of Suwanee, Georgia and Franklin SweetII of Columbus, Indiana; sisters and brother-in-law, Vera and John Morich of Elmira Heights and Nina Sanscharowskiy of Horseheads; brothers and sisters-in-law, Nikolai and Walentyna Sanscharowskiy of Horseheads, Alex and Wilma Sans of Fairview Park, Ohio, and Michael and Jeanne Sanscharowskiy of Horseheads; grandson and light of her life, Owen; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Hematology-Oncology of Central New York, Crouse Hospital staff on 4th Floor South, and Hospice of Central New York for the quality of life they gave to Zena while in their care.

Services will be at 8 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2007 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus with Deacon Nick Alvaro officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. preceding the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to one's favorite charity.
