Obituary for Dorothy Jean Corsivo

Dorothy Jean  Corsivo
Dorothy Jean Corsivo, 77, of Syracuse, died Sunday, October 14, 2007 at Crouse Hospital. Born on Tuesday, December 3, 1929 in Islip, she was the daughter of Clifton Dunn and Bernice Griffin Dunn. She lived in Syracuse approximately 60 years.

Dorothy was employed by Approved Pharmaceutical for eight years. She sponsored several overseas children throughout her life and was a foster grandparent for 10 years. She was a communicant of St. Lucy's Church and member of the Westside Improvement Association for many years.

Surviving are her sons, James Dashnaw of Newburgh, Indiana and Michael Dashnaw of Syracuse; daughters, Linda Jeffers of Solvay, Deborah Armatas and Lucinda Krosnicki, both of Syracuse, and Jane Cast of Sherrill; five sisters, two brothers, 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 9 a.m. Friday, October 19, 2007 in St. Lucy's Church where Rev. James D. Mathews will celebrate a funeral Mass. Friends may call Thursday, October 18, 2007 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Burial will be in Pine Plains Cemetery, Kirkville.
