Obituary for Betty DeWitt

Betty  DeWitt
Betty DeWitt, 90, of Syracuse, died Thursday, September 13, 2007 at Auburn Memorial Hospital. Born in Syracuse on Wednesday, March 7, 1917, she was the daughter of William and Ruby Murray McNamara. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was a communicant of St. Ann's Church. Betty was formerly employed by The Addis Co. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Betty was predeceased by her husband, Frank W. DeWitt, who died in 1968.

Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, John and Patricia DeWitt of Chelmsford, Massachusetts and James and Teresa DeWitt of Syracuse; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Melvin Little of Liverpool, Margaret and Paul Snow of Camillus, Kathleen and David Adrean of Garden Grove, California and Deborah and Andrew Eassa of Syracuse; 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be at 9:45 a.m. Monday, September 17 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Ann's Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call Sunday, September 16 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
