Life Story for Sophie J. Kawejsza

Sophie J.  Kawejsza
Sophie J. Kawejsza, eight, of Warners, passed away Friday, January 27, 2012 at home. She was born in Manchester, New Hampshire, on Monday, February 10, 2003, and lived in Camillus since 2007. Sophie was a third grader at Stonehedge Elementary School. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing hockey with the Camillus Youth Hockey Association and was a member of the Onondaga County 4-H and Immanuel United Methodist Church.

If you will be attending Sophie’s funeral, you may wish to wear one of her favorite colors: pink, purple or blue.

Surviving are her parents, Robert and Jenée; sisters, Samantha and Cecily, all of Warners; grandparents, Lou Sidle, and Caryl and David Arsenault; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and her dog, Phoebe.

Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, January 31 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 303 Kasson Rd., Camillus. Services will be Wednesday, February 1 at 11 a.m. at the church with Rev. Heather Williams officiating. Arrangements are by the Buranich Funeral Home, Camillus.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sophie’s name may be made to Golisano Children´s Hospital, c/o University Hospital, 750 E. Adams St., Syracuse, NY 13210.
